This reporting site is ONLY for courses taken for academic CREDIT. Act 48 hours earned by completing a Penn State pre-approved NON-CREDIT program will be reported by the Penn State Office of Professional and Community Education.

Only courses in which the educator received a quality letter grade (A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, or C) are eligible. Courses with grades of D (Poor/Failure), F (Failure), Audit (AU), R (Research), Credit by Examination (CRX), No Grade (NG), W (Withdrawl), and etc. are not eligible. See: http://www.registrar.psu.edu/grades/grading_system.cfm for more information about the University’s Grading System.Courses completed prior to January 2000 are not eligible. Also, course start and/or end dates outside an educator’s Continuing Education Period (CEP) start and/or end dates cannot be reported. Courses submitted must be associated with your professional development and that approval of credits for Act 48 and is at the discretion of an educator’s school district and/or the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). How do I know when my Act 48 credits/hours have been reported?
Students may check on the PDE website: https://www.perms.ed.state.pa.us/Screens/wfPublicAccess.aspx to confirm that their credit(s) have been reported. All coursework must be verified and therefore it may take several business days for coursework to be listed.
Penn State does not charge for reporting this information to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE).
